OpenOffice 3.0: what to expect

Author: Jay Baker | Filed under: Apps, Random

I found this awesome post earlier: OpenOffice 3.0: What to Expect and I have to say I’m pretty impressed. I’ve always been a fan of OpenOffice, the open-source Office Suite. I’ve also always put up with the occasional crash and/or compatibility issue.

This time around though, I think they’ve sorted a lot of things out. Here are a couple of features, I’m especially excited about:

  • Colored notes in the margins for Writer.
  • Full support for x extensions ( .docx, xlsx etc.)
  • Native support for Mac OSX!

Perhaps the most impressive feature, however, are the new presenter screens.
